New Exhibit to Open at Frame Gallery March 8

An exhibit by artist Lendon Noe titled, “Grand Simplicities.” will open today (Friday), March 8, 5:30-7 p.m., at the Frame Gallery. Lendon will talk about her work at 6 p.m., and there will be refreshments. Everyone is invited to attend.
Noe’s works are primarily oil and ink on canvas. The show will continue through March 30.
Lendon is a familiar face around Sewanee as she has led several artist retreats and workshops in the area. She is a native of Jackson, Tenn., where she was a professor of art at Lambuth University for 28 years. She graduated with a B.A. in Art and Literature from Rollins College in Florida, and studied for advanced degrees at the Rocky Mountain School of Art, Denver, Colo., the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, and Vermont College of Fine Arts in Montpelier, Vt. Working primarily in oil and pencil, she enjoys creating site specific shows reflecting her love for natural history, nature imagery and works of literature. Lendon calls Sewanee her “refuge”and is grateful for friends and the beauty of nature for inspiration.
The Frame Gallery is located at 12569 Sollace M. Freeman Hwy., Sewanee. The frame shop and gallery’s regular hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
