Join us to watch and discuss the next 2020 Democratic Presidential Primary Debate with students, faculty, staff, and community members. Following the debate, Sean O’Rourke, Professor of Rhetoric and American Studies, and Director of the Center for Speaking and Listening will moderate our discussion. All are welcome, regardless of political affiliation. The event will be at 6:40 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 20, at Convocation Hall. Fiesta Grill snacks provided.
DebateWatch is a voter education program of the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD). DebateWatch is a way to get American voters talking about the candidates and issues, not just listening. It brings people together to watch the televised debates, turn off the television as soon as it is over, and then have a discussion about what they have just seen and heard.
Can’t make this debate? Stay tuned for more DebateWatch events throughout the year.
Cosponsored by The Center for Speaking and Listening, and the Dialogue Across Difference and Yea, Sewanee Votes! and Programs of the Office of Civic Engagement.
