Tillinghast at FYP Poetry Reading

Arts & Entertainment

Poet Richard Tillinghast (C’ 64), will present a variety of his poetry, including parts of “Sewanee When We Were Young” in Sewanee Poems and “Sewanee and the Civil War” in Journeys into the Mind of the World at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 18. The event is free and open to the public.

The reading is part of the University’s first-year program, Finding Your Place (FYP), which is in its seventh year. Tillinghast has been an integral supporter of the program from day one and as such has donated his time and inspiration to over 1,000 students through these years.

The reading will be held in Convocation Hall.
