Two Shows at the Artisan Depot Gallery

Arts & Entertainment

The Artisan Depot Gallery and Gift Shop in Cowan is featuring two shows.  The Community Show is “One Country” and the Member Show is “Tangents –  a Journey” presented by Denise Miller. Both of these shows run until Dec. 20. The Franklin County Arts Guild Christmas Bazaar has also been extended through Dec. 20.

J. Denise Miller’s latest show “Tangents – a Journey” features work in a variety of styles and media that demonstrate the paths the artist has explored. The show will consist of acrylics, oils, collage with gel prints, and alcohol inks in styles from realistic to abstract.

The artist has studied with the late Ann Ford of Tullahoma for several years and has taken workshops with other local and regional artists. Her work is regularly exhibited at the Artisan Depot, and the Murfreesboro Art League gallery in Murfreesboro.

Miller teaches workshops and has been teaching art classes in Tullahoma and Shelbyville through the Healing Arts Project, Inc, since 2010. She is a member of the Franklin County Arts Guild and the Murfreesboro Art League.

The Artisan Depot is operated by the Franklin County Arts Guild and is located at 204 Cumberland St. East, Cowan. Gallery hours are noon to 5 p.m., Thursday through Sunday.
