Town of Monteagle

The Monteagle City Council will meet at 6 p.m., Monday, Aug. 26, at City Hall.

Cowan Commercial Club

The Cowan Commercial Club will meet at 6 p.m., Monday, Aug. 26, at Simpler Times, 104 E. Cumberland St., Cowan.

SUD Meeting

The Sewanee Utility District of Franklin and Marion Counties Board of Commissioners will have its regular meeting at 5 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 27, at the utility office on Sherwood Road. If a customer is unable to attend but wishes to bring a matter to the board, call 598-5611, visit the office, or call a board member. Your board members are Art Hanson, Randall Henley, Ronnie Hoosier, Charlie Smith and Paul Evans.

EQB Meeting

Members of the EQB Club will gather at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 28, at St. Mary’s Sewanee. Lunch will be served at noon.

Area Rotary Club Meetings

The Grundy County Rotary Club meets at 11:30 a.m., Tuesdays at Dutch Maid Bakery in Tracy City. The Monteagle-Sewanee Rotary Club will meet at 8 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 29, at the Sewanee Inn. Coach Travis Rundle will speak on Sewanee football.

Caregivers Groups

Sewanee Travel Club

The Sewanee Travel Club holds its meetings on the first Wednesday of the month. The Blue Chair hosts the next meeting, on Sept. 4, at 5:30 p.m., which will feature a presentation on upcoming trips from our Premier World Discovery rep. This free club is open to everyone for the purpose of connecting individuals and organizations with travel resources. The club offers tours based on member interests and acts as a conduit for requested destinations not on the current calendar. Sewanee Community Council

The next meeting of the Community Council is scheduled at 7 p.m., Monday, Sept. 9, at the Sewanee Senior Citizens Center. Items for the agenda should be submitted to the Provost’s office by noon on Wednesday, Aug. 28.
