Sewanee Book Club
The Sewanee Book Club will meet on Monday, Nov. 18, at 1:30 p.m. The book to be discussed is “Where the Crawdad’s Sing” by Delia Owens. The Sewanee Trust for Historic Preservation (STHP) meets at 4 p.m., Monday, Nov. 18, in the Hethcock Room at Otey. The public is invited.
The Sewanee Utility District of Franklin and Marion Counties Board of Commissioners will have its regular meeting at 5 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 19, at the utility office on Sherwood Road.

The Grundy County Rotary Club meets at 11:30 a.m., Tuesdays at Dutch Maid Bakery in Tracy City.
The Monteagle-Sewanee Rotary Club will meet at 8 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 21, at the Sewanee Inn. The guest speaker will be Abby Colbert, Assistant Counsel of Global Affairs—specialty in immigration and nationality law. The club will not meet on Nov. 28.

Town of Monteagle
The Monteagle City Council is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m., Monday Nov. 25, at City Hall.
The Franklin County Democratic Women will meet at at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 26, 214 N. High, Winchester. We will watch a little bit of a movie called “What is Democracy?” which reflects on a word we too often take for granted.
